We arrived on a beautiful June day for graduation week, with Mt. Rainier greeting us through Allyndreth's apartment window.

This is a Rainier legacy photo. Grandpa Tony was born in Tacoma, WA, and spent the first 6 years of his life there. He always revered The Mountain. When Allyndreth moved to UW, Christina felt a familial connection to Rainier and passed that on to Allyndreth,who took many pics over the 4 years whenever "The Mountain was out." This photo is a way to have Grandpa Tony with us for grad week.

And this photo represents a new legacy connection to Seattle. When Allyndreth moved to UW, Matt coincidentally became part of a Google team that included colleagues in the Seattle office. Monthly, Matt would fly to Seattle for work and connect with Allyndreth in the evening to have dinner. Many familial memories are connected with this beautiful city.

The "LIFE" pillars, representing Loyalty, Industry, Faith, and Efficiency. Students are supposed to touch the pillar with which they most resonate at the beginning and end of their UW journey. Allyndreth chose "Faith" to close her UW journey.

Allyndreth designed her cap as an homage to both a mantra we say to lock in positive thinking when tackling life's challenges, and to The Pigeon character, with whom she grew up in beloved stories by Mo Willems.
