In March, Chrisina became eligible for priority vaccination as an employee at Acalanes High School. Matt drove her on the historic trek to Moscone Center in San Francisco, which was one of only a few places administering vaccines at the time.

Allyndreth and Matt went in early April to the parking lot at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Concord for their historic first shots. They were there within a week of the vaccine opening up to the 16-49-year-old demographic.

In April, a new character entered our story - Hayley Scotti came out to see the Bay Area and meet Tyrian's family

A few days later, Tyrian was at Diablo Valley College getting his shot. It was a relief to have 4 of the 5 of us in process toward immunity. In May, the 12-15-year-old demographic opened up, though Evya would need to wait until her 12th birthday in July to be eligible.

In late April, Tyrian decided to attended Cal State University Monterey Bay in the Fall. He didn't want to live on campus, and he wanted to get a job pronto in the Monterey area so that he could work while taking classes. This meant we started spending weekends in Monterey looking at housing options.

Also while in the area, we visited the CSUMB campus, which was technically still closed to the public but we could walk around a little.
