We took the time to experience aspects of Munich omitted from our 2012 trip. Although in 2012 we went inside the 1972 Olympic Park and swam in the Olympic pool, we did not appreciate the drama of the architecture from a distance.

On December 14, the North Carolina Engelbrechts arrived to join us for the Danube cruise. We whisked them off to the famous Hofbräuhaus.

Before we boarded the bus to Vilshofen, we had a chance to visit the Rathaus-Glockenspiel to watch it tell the tales of German history.
